LaShonda Whitaker resides in Lancaster County with her teenage daughter, and is from Southern Philadelphia and New Jersey. She has a background caring for children ages infant through 12 years old, serving Adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities, and is a graduate of Millersville University.

It was back in 2013 when LaShonda started preparing children in her very own childcare program quality lunches, and teaching them table etiquette, that inspired her to start 5 Loaves Food Company in 2016. Her goal to spread awareness of the changes needed in more healthy food and snack options for the youngest of learners, those enrolled in childcare. Afterall they spend 8-10 hours during the school day outside of their homes. Through her development of a food program with delivery service, children provided 5 Loaves lunches also saves time from the childcare center from planning, shopping, and making it themselves.
